Silpo supermarkets chain was listed among brands that took care of their consumers during quarantine according to the research conducted by an international research company Kantar Ukraine. Alongside Silpo, Rozetka and Nova Poshta were the most frequently mentioned businesses.
"The pandemic, quarantine and our new reality have become real challenges for brands and manufacturers. Many of them reacted swiftly. According to the survey, every fifth consumer noticed special measures taken by brands and manufacturers," Kantar Ukraine reports.
The survey, conducted on May 14-28, 2020, represents urban Internet users from Ukraine aged 18 to 55. The distribution was made by sex, age, type of settlement, and region. In general, 84% of the population has Internet access. Sample size: 1,000 respondents. The research was initiated and funded by Kantar Ukraine.
Founded in 1998, Silpo is one of the largest supermarkets chain in Ukraine. As of June 2020, there are 262 Silpo supermarkets, including 4 Le Silpo delicatessen. The company has a project to support and develop small Ukrainian producers called Lavka Tradytsii, whose products can be purchased at Silpo and Le Silpo delicatessen. It is part of Fozzy Group, one of the largest trade and industrial groups in Ukraine.
