The well-known European franchise Captain Candy has officially arrived in Ukraine — the first store has opened inside a Silpo supermarket. Silpo has received exclusive rights to develop the brand in Ukraine. The first sweets store in a shop-in-shop format is already welcoming Guests in Kyiv.
Captain Candy is a love brand from Prague that has been winning over Europe since 2014 with its mix of vibrant flavors, pirate-themed style, and fun experience. Today, the brand has stores in the Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany. Kyiv became the 12th location on the brand’s map — and the first one in Ukraine.
Previously, Captain Candy stores were opened only on tourist streets of European cities — in Venice, Amsterdam, Rome, and Cologne. The Ukrainian location is an exception: the shop has been opened for the first time inside a supermarket, on the outskirts of the city.
“We are inspired when a brand speaks to Guests through experience and emotion. Each visit to Captain Candy, like to Silpo, is a burst of emotion and a bite of adventure. We share the same values and quickly found mutual understanding and trust. That’s how the first Captain Candy store in Ukraine came to be — during the war, in an unusual format and location”, — said Kateryna Ohuriaeva, Marketing Director of Silpo.
The store was designed by the team of the Wonder Workshop experimental design bureau. The space was created in Captain Candy’s recognizable pirate style — with wooden barrels, retro decor, and dimmed lighting. And the main treasure are the 52 types of candy you can mix to your own taste: gummies, marshmallows, pralines, licorice, and treats with nuts.
The shop is already open daily in Kyiv at Silpo, located at 1 Kiltseva Road, Respublika Park Mall.
